In Chad since January 2009, I was desperately looking for a way to get people to consider Linux as an operating system. 99% of the people still use Windows XP SP2 as primary operating system, mainly because getting hacked versions of Vista is kind of difficult. People use an operating system which is basically 9 years old, with an update SP2 from ????.
i have been using firefox since the first day, firefox 1.0. on windows and on ubuntu. for all these years i stand and i fall with it. i loved it so much that i convinced my friends and family to use it. now after chrome was released for linux i start to let go.
windows users no them quite too well, linux and mac users have been spared and often bragged that they don’t need to worry about them. malicious code is trying to take advantage of the users resources (financial, hardware, bandwidth,…) without being detected. a supposed screensaver on gnome-look.org contains no screensaver but code for a DoS attack on www.mmowned.com.
